Blended Learning

Due to current circumstances, blended learning is being the natural and expected result of innovation in pedagogical methods. As teachers you know that one of the greatest challenges is to achieve the dedication and concentration of the students, not only within the classroom, but also outside of it. This learning method helps you in this work of ” enhancing the presence with the effectiveness of new technologies.”

What is blended learning?

Blended learning combines face-to-face teaching with the use of different digital tools that complement, enrich and accompany it, adapting to the different situations that are being experienced in each of the educational centers in this course, and above all it supposes a window to a new educational universe.

It is also called blended learning (b-learning) , blended learning, or blended learning. Blended learning is characterized by using ICTs and digital tools as a mediator, a channel ultimately for the training and comprehensive development of students.

Blended learning in the day-to-day classroom

Perhaps without naming it, many of you already carry out mixed learning with your students, combining face-to-face classes with the use of digital tools that help students to incorporate knowledge inside and outside the classroom.

This learning method brings together all the best of both parties, in an equitable way. And its use on a day-to-day basis favors the optimization of the teaching process of your students.

Currently in most schools this blended learning is being carried out combining face-to-face classes with the use not only of digital tools, but also of collaborative educational platforms (virtual classroom of Educa Madrid , KhanAcademy , virtual classrooms of publishers, etc.) that make up a virtual learning environment in which all the teachers ‘proposals, the evaluation rubrics and the students’ own tasks are collected.

In your day-to-day life, this methodology offers you the power to work with each student according to their peculiarities, since the same method does not work the same for everyone. It allows you to adapt the curricular contents of each course to each of your students, trying to reinforce, accompany and encourage those who have more difficulties to follow the dynamics of the classroom and achieve the objectives; and at the same time reinforcing those students who overcame the challenges and understanding content on a day-to-day basis with fewer difficulties, thus ensuring that they do not fall into boredom or demotivation.

Canal Educa and blended learning

From Canal Educa we want to accompany you in the incorporation of blended learning as a teaching method and for this we put at your disposal our face-to-face activities adapted to a safe environment and, since last year, also our webinars that we carry out connecting directly with your classroom. In addition, you can complement your classes with the resources available on our website: on the one hand, all our interactive activities designed to work on environmental awareness at any school stage; and on the other, the training pills, small pieces to guide teachers in using new free and accessible tools as resources to digitize their classes.

Our webinars are a real example of that blended learning. We enter your classrooms from the screen, reinforcing all those content that you work in the classroom in an attractive way. With the Canal Educa webinars we achieve the motivation of the students, the teaching of different digital resources and an individualized participation and, in addition, we give them a voice to reflect together on environmental awareness, water and climate change. Of course, at the end of the dynamic on our website you will find all the documentation to work on later, if you consider it appropriate.

In short, blended learning is interaction, it is ubiquitous and it is managing time more effectively.
